The NATAS Southeast Foundation is looking for the next generation of television professionals. We're looking for students with an innovative vision and a commitment to excellence.
We are now accepting scholarship applications for 2026.
Eligibility
The Southeast EMMY® chapter of The National Academy Television Arts & Sciences is proud to offer up to $6,000 in scholarships for qualified students pursuing a career in media and/or broadcast. High school seniors and current undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
We have three $2,000 scholarships available. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email. Funds will be distributed directly to the schools upon verification of registration.
“Pay” special attention to the Checklist in the Required Items subsection. Entries that do not include ALL Required Items will be automatically removed from consideration for an award.
The Scholarship Committee will consider applicants who meet all the eligibility requirements below. Any Application that does not meet the stated minimum requirements will not be considered.
Students must be 18 or older at the time of the Scholarship award announcement. The 2026 scholarship award announcement will take place on March 21, 2026.
Students must be legal residents of, or attend college within the NATAS Southeast Region. The Southeast Chapter includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville, North Carolina.
Students must provide two letters of recommendation.< Teachers and advisors are great sources for recommendation letters.
Students must provide a one-to-three page essay. Essay Topic: Why are you pursuing a career in the television/broadcasting/media industry?
Applicants must provide a work sample with the application. Required documents and work sample can be uploaded using the link at the bottom of the application.
