THANK YOU JUDGES!
Per the Call for Entries, by entering you agree to volunteer when called upon for judging.
EMMY® Awards are awarded to those entries and entrants that meet EMMY® standards of excellence determined by qualified volunteers from other chapters who take the time to judge our entries.
In return for judging our entries we judge entries from other chapters. Without the help of our members we could not have fulfilled our commitments.
Thank you to all the members and non-members that judged this year!

How long have you been in the industry?
How often do you judge?
I usually judge whenever a call goes out that includes a category I feel qualified to judge, so lately it’s been every few months.
Why do you judge?
It doesn’t take very much time, and I’d hate for someone’s work not to be recognized because we couldn’t get enough qualified people to volunteer a little time to judge. I’m relying on members of other chapters to volunteer their time for our awards – the least I can do is the same for them.
What would you say to encourage others to judge?
Well, it’s interesting to see the work other regions are producing, and it really doesn’t take that much time. It’s all online, so you can watch a couple of pieces here and a couple of pieces there, working it around the rest of your schedule. Besides, the awards are only as good as the judges – if those of us who do this everyday and have some expertise in our respective fields don’t help to highlight the truly outstanding work – who will?
